Who said you can't buy happiness? Maybe you can't but if you could...it would be called "upgrade to business class" on United Airlines with frequent-flyer points! Happiness would last 12 hours and span one ocean and one international dateline.

Important Kyoto facts:
- Kyoto people are very kind, and respectful of the aged (Moe and I). They thank you for coming
- U.S. plugs fit in Japanese outlets, as is
- Japanese drive on the left side of the road (like the Irish)
- hotel toilet seats may be heated; public bathroom offer a choice between eastern or western toilets
- tradition Japanese pillows are stuffed with buckwheat pellet

- have learned how to say "two" and "thank you" in Japanese
