You can buy happiness

Who said you can't buy happiness? Maybe you can't but if you would be called "upgrade to business class" on United Airlines with frequent-flyer points! Happiness would last 12 hours and span one ocean and one international dateline.

We are in Kyoto now. I know I'm not home because my Google page looks like this.

Important Kyoto facts:
  • Kyoto people are very kind, and respectful of the aged (Moe and I). They thank you for coming
  • U.S. plugs fit in Japanese outlets, as is
  • Japanese drive on the left side of the road (like the Irish)
  • hotel toilet seats may be heated; public bathroom offer a choice between eastern or western toilets
  • tradition Japanese pillows are stuffed with buckwheat pellet
Moe and Irene:
  • have learned how to say "two" and "thank you" in Japanese
